In November 2020, it will be 100 years since Paul Celan was born. To mark the occasion, De Studio, Poeziencentrum and Toneelhuis are organising an online event, a fully-fledged anniversary week for one of the most important German-speaking poets of the 20th century. Toneelhuis will present an exclusive and temporarily available online version of Matisklo with audio commentary. Bosse Provoost, Ezra Veldhuis and Yuri Happel recall thoughts and memories about the making of the performance against the background of Matisklo's capture.
In Ballets C de la B the rehearsals for I Silenti have started. The musicians and dancer come from India, Spain, Scotland and Bulgaria, so it was a real feat to practically arrange that in coronation times. In the meantime the set is being prepared in the set studio in Toneelhuis and the costume designer has been working diligently in her studio in Brussels over the past few weeks to get the first silhouettes ready for the fitting moment this week. From mid-December, the team will move to the main stage in Théâtre de Namur for the rehearsals.
corona measures update

We respect this decision, because the figures are dramatic and the care sector is under heavy pressure, and we, as a cultural sector, have no choice but to show solidarity and take responsibility.
