Tibaldus’ Yvonne, Prinses van Bourgondië was selected for Circuit X at the TheaterFestival. A conversation with Timeau De Keyser and Hans Mortelmans, who along with Simon De Winne form the core of the theatre company founded in 2009 by the then KASK students. The 1935 play by the Polish writer Witold Gombrowicz revolves around the royal court in Burgundy which was shaken to the core by the ridiculous engagement between Prince Philip and the repugnant Yvonne. The production is a playful criticism of social structures and power relations.
